Is Landlord Responsible For Termites Due To Our Lease Agreement We Are Responsible For Exterminating.Does This Includes Termites?

Due to our lease agreement we are responsible for exterminating.Does this includes termites? - is landlord responsible for termites

A few days ago we had hundreds of schools in our basement. We inform our landlord. He said that's his problem, you are responsible for the rent. I called an exterminator. He said that this problem in a time that occurs to me one (for the treatment of $ 2400.00) ratio. The basement is unfinished. We ask our guest a few times to make improvements. He said that only a storeroom. We live 2 1 / 2 years in the house and our lease is ending soon. Are we really responsible for the cost of destruction. Perhaps the termites in the house before we moved

I do not know how to charge for this May issue, May termites have it for years. Please keep a copy of the report, the exterminator who have given you and ask him to estimate how long the termites have been there and when writing. If the owner tries to the cost of treatment, then you have evidence that termites have been there before to carry you. It is a very bad owners! and covered his house, if it is not! Hopefully you have found a new place to move, I would not be here.
